My daughter began her first riding lessons with Jimmy in 4th grade. I was amazed at how careful she was in teaching all the details of riding, tacking up the horse and the emphasis she put on safety. Jimmy was stern if need be but the kids all had such great fun. She instilled a love of horses and respect for their abilities. My daughter is still riding at the age of 24 and we feel she got great beginnings with Jimmy.

Though I had riding lessons previous to riding with Jimmy, I felt
Jimmy knew me and my riding ability well and began to teach me and
challenge me in a way that was beneficial and progressive. Jimmy was
always very supportive and communicative, as she was always willing to
schedule lessons that best fit my schedule. I credit Jimmy with being
a very encouraging presence in my life, and recognize that it was her
that helped me move on to more advanced riding. Jimmy is not only a
great instructor, but a great person, to know her is a pleasure I’ve
been blessed with for many years.

Jimmy’s number one goal is safety. I always felt good about that. In addition to being a wonderful, safe riding instructor Jimmy is a person of very high integrity–a person you are happy influenced your child. Jimmy teaches the kids riding but also responsibility.

Jimmy is an outstanding riding instructor. I’ve been riding with her for nearly eight years and I’m still impressed with the depth of her knowledge and her powers of observation and analysis. She knows right away what needs to be fixed and how to fix it, and she always manages to teach with patience, tact, and good humor. Her emphasis on good horsemanship and safety has allowed me to develop confidence and make steady progress. Thanks to Jimmy’s inspired guidance I’ve become a more effective rider, learned lots of practical horse lore, and had many hours of fun in her classes.
